Hyundai India recently confirmed that it will launch the new-gen Tucson in the Indian market on August 10. Unveiled last month, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson bookings have already commenced at an initial price of Rs 50,000.
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson will be offered in two variants – Platinum and Signature. The new Tucson will be available in 5 monotone and 2 dual tone colour options, such as Phantom Black, Fiery Red, Amazon Grey, Starry Night, Polar White, Fiery Red with Phantom Black roof and Polar White with Phantom Black roof.
Mechanically, the new Hyundai Tucson will make use of a 2.0-litre petrol engine that will churn out 154 bhp power and 192 Nm torque. The engine is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The second engine option is a diesel mill, generating 184 bhp power and 416 Nm torque. It comes paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel engine will come equipped with a Four-Wheel-Drive system.
At the front, the new Hyundai Tucson will feature a chrome-finished front grille, LED headlamps and LED Day Running Lights. The side profile is flanked by 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear is equipped with contrast-coloured skid plates and LED tail-lamps.
Inside, the Tucson premium SUV gets a host of features, such as a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument console, BlueLink connectivity, ventilated front seats, eight-way power-adjustable front passenger seats with memory function, powered tail-gate and multi-terrain modes.
The biggest highlight of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson is Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This feature will include advanced safety features like rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision avoidance assistance, lane departure warning, high-beam assistance, adaptive cruise control and blind-spot assistance.
