National security to food security- Modi govt a failure: Congress | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed all-round from “national security to food security”, Congress Wednesday said the BJP government is using the ED and CBI raids to divert attention from its failures like keeping the people in the dark for over two years about the Chinese occupation in Ladakh.
AICC spokesman Abhishek Singhvi’s attack on misuse of agencies is significant in view of Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee’s clean chit to PM Modi on agency raids. Congress has already criticized Mamata’s remark as “playing hide and seek” which will absolve Modi of serious transgressions on which questions are being asked around the country.
Attacking the government, Singhvi said, “The village head of one of the last settlements along the LAC in Ladakh’s Chushul said today that in the past year, at least three large grazing areas near the village have been turned into no man’s land or buffer zones after the Indian troops pulled back from the patrolling points in the Kugrang Valley, including patrolling points 15, 16 and 17.”
“Will the prime minister and the defence minister apologise for keeping the nation in the dark?” he asked.
The spokesman said Modi regime’s failures don’t stop at national security, since food prices have risen by 40-50% in the current week, while the national economy is hit by high inflation and four-month low 2.4% factory output.
On social front, he said incidents of crime against women are also continuously rising.
