Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 launch soon: Specs and expected price – Times of India

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 might just be heading for an official launch in the coming months. It was spotted yet again, this time sporting many additional accessories, including auxiliary lights, mini floorboards, bar-end mirrors, and a Tripper navigation pod. The test mule also had a different set of machined wheels. As has become a tradition with all new Royal Enfield motorcycles, the Shotgun 650 too will get a set of GMA (genuine motorcycle accessories), which would likely also include the new wheels the test unit was seen with.
The Shotgun 650 will come powered by the same 648cc parallel twin engine that was introduced with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. It makes 47 hp and 52 Nm of peak torque, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Royal Enfield will most likely carry over the engine to the Shotgun 650 without many changes to it. The Shotgun 650 will, however, offer USD (upside down forks) instead of the conventional ones of the existing 650 twins.
The new and upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 has been spotted during testing a number of times already and being seen with accessories could point to it heading towards it final production version, and soon.
There are, in fact, several motorcycles planned to be launched under Royal Enfield’s 650cc lineup and at least one would be launched before this year ends. The Shotgun 650 might also debut at the upcoming EICMA motorcycle show in November. When it does go on sale, expect the Shotgun to carry a premium in its price tag compared to the Interceptor and Conti, owing to improved hardware and features.
