Third round of admissions in MBA, MCA begins today – Times of India

Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) on Wednesday announced that the third round of admissions in Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Computer Application (MCA) courses will begin from September 22, Thursday.
At the end of the second round of admissions a total of 3,617 students have been allotted seats while there are 13,814 seats in both the courses that have remained unoccupied. There are 18 government and grant-in-aid MBA and MCA colleges and 157 self financed colleges in the state.
A statement from ACPC said that 2,631 of the 12,321 seats in MBA have been filled while in MCA, the admission committee has given admissions to 986 students.
To fill these vacant seats the committee will conduct a third round of admissions starting from today which will end on September 24.
Sources said that the committee is likely to fill the vacant seats in government colleges by giving admissions to those candidates who have not cleared Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). In case of private colleges, the committee is likely to give the college managements authority to admit students on the remaining vacant seats.
